Security

Complete security and auditability for data center event management.

Simplified access to your computing platforms is another way ioEnterprise works with and streamlines your existing infrastructure:

  • Manage and secure remote access to critical systems
  • Authenticate users to all of your enterprise computing platforms from a single repository
  • Centralize user authentication using your existing authentication repository (ACF2, LDAP, RACF, Active Directory)
  • Customize access for each user on each system
  • OSA-ICC security
  • SSL encryption
  • HTTPS security for HMC access or any web-based access
  • Secure access to enterprise computing platforms using standard terminal emulations
  • Ability to generate regulatory compliance (SOX, HIPAA, COBIT 4.0, PCI) reports for system security, data integrity, data security and system reliability on the fly through any web browser

Secure Remote and Local Access

ioEnterprise Event Manager features a multi-protocol secure access management solution designed to provide security and auditability to local and remote data center management.

Powerful authentication, authorization and session selection services gives users running standard emulators access from anywhere on the network. This centralized access simplifies event management and significantly reduces the total cost of ownership of existing infrastructure investments.

Fully Adaptable Authorization

ioEnterprise also gives you the ability to customize authorization and session access. The authentication can be made against an internal database of usernames and passwords or authentication can be made against a centralized authentication repository using an LDAP authorization interface. Common authentication repositories include RACF, ACF2, Active Directory, RSA (Radius), and Top Secret, among others.

Upon successful authentication, the user’s role is determined and a custom screen is presented to allow the user to select one of several sessions available to that user. Once a session is selected, ioEnterprise Remote Assistant will then connect the user to the destination session and proxy data between the emulator and the session using secure protocols.
