ioEnterprise supports all IBM and compatible mainframe systems (zSeries, System z, System/390) running any mainframe operating system. |

ioEnterprise supports midrange systems, including iSeries, System i, i5 and AS/400 systems, and IBM System p5 (pSeries) servers. |

Intelligent Devices & Distributed Systems |
ioEnterprise connects to and manages events for routers, printers, servers and other devices using standard network protocols as their primary management mechanism, including Distributed Systems (Unix variants, Linux systems, DEC VAX, and Microsoft Windows servers).

Protocols
Protocols supported include (but are not limited to) TN3270E for mainframe access, TN5250 for System i5 access, and VT terminal access for UNIX and Linux. This centralized access simplifies management and significantly reduces the total cost of ownership of existing infrastructure investments.
- Cross Platform Protocol support including but not limited to: 3270, VT100, VT220, 5250, HTTP, SNMP, MQ, SSH, Telnet, Unix and Linux SYSLOG
Agent vs. Agentless
A combination of both agent-based and agentless solutions provides the highest degree of benefit to your organization’s mixed IT environment.
- No agent is used to manage events in the mainframe environment. The complexities of the operating systems and the enormous amount of maintenance required to keep an agent-based system operational requires an agent-less monitoring solution for mainframe operators.
- The midrange environment (System i, iSeries, i5, AS/400), conversely, efficiently segregates the agent and avoids the maintenance problems associated with agents on mainframes. The agent used to manage events for midrange servers provides tools for both event and critical system monitoring.
